ONE WORLD, ONE GOAL, PEACE FOR ALL
Oil on Canvas, 40" x 40" (unframed)
Frame: N/A

Our beautiful world, bloodied, uglied, ripped and torn by war, intolerance and ignorance. Will humanity ever evolve from this most barbaric way of settling differences and become truly civilized and live in peace? Can it become capable of shedding and burying forever the many layers of war and it's thought patterns that have enveloped it and bound it through the ages? Can it become capable of destroying all war weapons, and the capacity to make war weapons so it will have no choice but to settle differences by peaceful means? Can it become capable of removing all the economic benefits of producing war weapons so that in order to continue reaping those benefits, it is necessary to wage wars and constantly promote the threat of war? Can it become capable of an infinitely immense shift in it's thinking and stop recognizing and making heroes out of those who kill and destroy in war, that killing and destruction in war is only that, killing and destruction. Can it be capable of understanding that there is no such thing as killing and destroying for peace, because it is killing and destroying peace itself? Can it become capable of ever stopping the "noble and heroic" notion of killing, destroying and dying for one's country? Can it become capable of foregoing patriotism and replace it with internationalism, that we are one world, one people and waging war is waging war on ourselves?

Note: Upon close examination, you might discern the words "One World, One Goal, Peace for All" written on the painting.
